What is HIPS material?

HIPS material, all called high impact polystyrene, is a thermoplastic material made of elastomer modified polystyrene. It is a two-phase system composed of rubber phase and continuous polystyrene phase. It has excellent impact performance and processing performance. It is widely used in automobiles, equipment, electric products, furniture, household appliances, telecommunications, electronics, computers, disposable products, medicine, packaging and entertainment markets. 12 Compared with ABS and ordinary plastics, HIPS materials have higher impact strength, which makes them less prone to rupture when impacted.
